The Problem

Livsee required senior technical leadership to navigate property management data integrations, provide hands-on guidance to an offshore development team, and prepare the organization for SOC 2 compliance. Developers and management also needed a practical way to compare raw Yardi source data with the data in Livsee, evaluate whether additional data fields could be useful, and validate numbers across both systems.

Our Role

Technical leadership and engineering advisory, directing SOC 2 compliance readiness, overseeing offshore team delivery, and conducting system data discovery. SeguraTech also independently identified the operational need for an internal data review tool and took the initiative to design and build it.

What We Did

• Led SOC 2 compliance readiness efforts by gathering evidence, tracking requirements, coordinating follow-ups, and working directly with vendors to support approval.
• Provided technical leadership and architecture guidance for an autonomous AI platform serving multifamily real estate.
• Oversaw and supported an offshore engineering team in India of 3–4 developers and 1 project manager.
• Performed technical discovery across complex Yardi data relationships and translated findings into clear technical direction for the development team.
• Built and delivered an internal back-office tool for reviewing Yardi data, comparing it with Livsee’s application data, and validating values.

The Outcome

Delivered audit evidence and operational controls for SOC 2 readiness, established clear architectural direction for Yardi data integration, and aligned the offshore engineering team around consistent delivery standards. Outside the initial scope of work, Jose identified the need for a Yardi comparison tool, built it, and handed it over to Livsee, providing developers and management with a lasting tool to inspect source data and validate figures.

Columbia Debt Recovery needed to modernize early-stage multifamily apartment debt recovery through its Bend Payments platform, requiring reliable payment automation, Stripe integration, and completion of unfinished engineering workflows.
